I was curious what Europeans or People from countries other than America, what they considered to be 'American Food'?? Like Pizza is Italian, Burritos are Mexican, what do people consider American cuisine? Seems we eat foods of other cultures, and don't have alot of 'American Food'…And, of the food from America, what is your favorite…????

Pizza as we know it is actually very American. Other American foods are hot dogs, steaks, burgers, chili, chowder, lunchmeat sandwiches, etc.

Even dishes that most people would think is American might have had roots from elsewhere. Well almost anything does.

However, i think fried coke would be quite american. They didn't invent deep frying and batter, and other cultures also used coca leaves, but in this case, its something that just screams out texas state fair.

I think it depends on what part of the country a person is from. Like me, i'm from the south and down this way we like pork chops, home made mac-n-cheese, baked beans, biscuits and gravy, oat meal, grits, steak, potato salad and sweet tea!
Of course everyone is different. I personally drink a lot of water and only have tea when i go out for dinner. I eat a lot of spicy food as well like authentic Mexican food, i also have Hispanics in my family.
