Any advice on kid friendly restaraunts in New York City - American food?

  I heard there was a place called Grilled Cheese NYC..I'm not a kid - but that sounds pretty awesome to me.

  My two favorites are Johnny Rocket's and S'Mac. My kids loved Mars 2112 in Times Square, but the food is not that great and it's overpriced. If you want to give them a wild experience though… it can't be beat. Just be sure to order burgers because the rest of the food isn't so terrific - lol

  When we visited there, we went to Pax Deli. We got friendly service.

  Mars 2112 my 6 year old cousin loved it and I did too. It's on 46th and Broadway. They even put you in a space ship to go from earth to mars and Mars is so fantastic.

  For lunch with kids, try Alice's Tea Shop, 102 West 73rd, through-the-looking-glass theme with good sandwiches and other treats. Or catch the sci-fi theme in Galaxy Global Eatery at 15 Irving Place.

  ii'd suggest Planet Hollywood on Broadway
