Any ways to fix my touchpad on my LG Chocolate?

I set my phone down for a minute and when I picked it back up and opened it, my touchpad didnt work anymore! I didnt wet my phone and it works perfectly but its just my touchpad. Any anwsers?

      I'm not sure on how to fix it but lots of my friends who have LG Chocolates (especially the old model in pink, white, red, black, etc) have had problems with the touchpad even without heavy damage. They just took it into Verizon and got a replacement…
