Hi, I ate too much Halloween candy all day today, way too much. I don’t feel really good. I feel like the worst crash ever. I wanted to know if a laxative will help me get rid of all the candy, or if Fiber will help.
Thanks
Ate too much Halloween candy, will a laxative help?

Take some fiber, it’ll eventually work out and you’ll be back to normal.

I wouldn’t take a laxative.
I would drink a lot of water, eat a good healthy meal - maybe high fiber cereal, some pasta or a sandwich, and get a good nights sleep. It would be good if you went for a little walk also. That’ll help your body to use up the sugar and exercise encourages your bowels to be active.

You have a sugar high. Yes fiber will help. Get some protein in too.
Eat an apple it should help sooth your tummy too

Yea drink a lot of water that should help. But why not take the laxative, they’re good for you

I wouldn’t recommend a laxative, unless you are constipated and having trouble getting everything out naturally. Laxatives can cause stomach cramps and diarrhea (even the ones that claim to be gentle), and should be avoided whenever possible.
You might try some natural solutions, like prunes. I think prune juice is rather gross, but there are pitted prunes out there now with orange and other flavoring added to them, and they taste good as well as work to flush you out. Also, drink a lot of water. Fiber would be good too.. though I still would recommend getting it from food rather than an over the counter drug.

Little do you know, you are yet to experience what I call the “ol’ faithful” response. Your body can take quite a bit physically and internally but once in a while it will react angrily to the choices you have made. Good Luck.

I got what you have a ‘Hallow-Hangover”.
I got that a few years ago. A friend of mine was dared to eat all his bag of candy which consisted of a large amount of Chocolate. It took him 3 hours of non stop eating. I helped him for about 20 minutes, and then quit. He was throwing up for the next week or so, and I didn’t feel good the next day.
What helps me if your stomach isn’t feeling well, is to take some Pepto-Bismo. It tastes gross, but really works. I also recommend that you drink 7-up (a.k.a. diet Sprite) because it helps with the ‘flow’ of your fluids. Drinking alot of water surprisingly helps get rid of the toxin, through urine. Eat Vegetables, NOTHING SWEET. I wouldn’t recommend eating fruit, candy or anything you think may be harmful. You may have diarea due to the extreme sugar-intake, so dint worry. Get it all out of your system and get alot of rest. By Tomorrow you should be feeling a little better. Make sure though that on the Sprite, make it diet, and make sure there’s no sugar or Caffeine in your drinks. Good ol Water really is the best alternative.

i wouldnt do either. drink LOTS of fluids. water (lots of water), 7-up, sprite (diets best), flat coke (or root beer if you dont have coke), a little juice would be ok (hawaiin punch is the best if your gona drink it).
no more sweets. dont eat fruit. i probably just wouldnt eat until noonish tomorrow but if you want to eat then have toast, carrots, or almonds. i dont know why but whenever i eat too much candy thats all that doesnt make me feel bad and still tastes good.
hope this helps!
