Does anyone have a slow cooker beef stew recipe that doesn’t use potatoes? Thanks.
If I omit the potatoes, won't there be too much liquid?

Just substitute turnips for the potatoes. They’re excellent!

I love my slow cooker. You can just omit the potatoes from the recipe and replace with dumplings.

the great thing about making your own, you can add or leave out anything you want. just use any beef stew recipe and leave out potatoes.

Just use the recipe you have and don’t put in the potatoes.

Just use your favorite beef stew recipe and leave out the spuds.
You might need to add some corn starch or arrowroot to thicken the stew without the potatoes though.

Just thicken whatever juice you have with a bit of flour or cornstarch if it is too liquid.
I hate what happens to potatoes cooked in liquid that long - grainy and mushy so I always make my stew with everything in it and a nice thick gravy and then serve it with mashed potatoes.
