I'm from Texas (where we love our mexican food!) and have been to Vegas several times. I've been looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant and have yet to find one. This year we will be staying at the MGM Grand. Are there any good mexican restaurants nearby?

Well this is a little more Southwest than Mexican, but Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill is out of this world!

Garduno's, either at the Fiesta in N. Las Vegas, or at the Palms casino.

The best in ALL of Vegas is " Lindo Michelican " the make the tortillas right in front of you, it's authentic and out of this world, and their prices are decent.
They are on E. Desert Inn, not very close to the strip but worth the drive !!!!

I used to be a big fan of Lindo Michoachan as well, but they now have new menus and their prices went up. I also normally order the same thing every time we go there and the last 2 times, it just hasn't been the same.
But we found anpther mexican restaurant that is even better! It is Casa Don Juan on Main St. closer to downtown. It is excellent. The food is fantastic, the service is great and it is reasonably priced.

is Casa Don Juan the one on main street on the right if you're walkin toward el cortez?

      We liked Border Grille…

stay away from La Salsa.. $60 dollars for lunch too.. for 2 shredded chicken tacos, and a beef burrito… my hubby and i were both sick as dogs 30 minutes later in the hotel too :(

Take it from a Texan that lived there for 5 years, there are very, very few. The best one I enjoyed eating at was the mexican place in Red Rock Casino; Cabo Mexican.

They mostly are all authentic mexican and not Tex Mex!

Its not Del Taco up on Tropicanna (east) nor is it Taco Time near Blue Diamond Intersection truck stop and Dean Martin Way.

Do a quick search at http://www.yellowpages.com under mexican food in las vegas, nv 89101. mess around with the zip code.
