Okay, so I just bought some Smirnoff, Black Cherry Vodka from a friend, and she said it makes you really sick the next day, but I usually drink vodka like it’s water and all, do you think it will affect me? Have any of you tried it, and if so, does it have a different effect on you than other vodka?

The flavor doesn't matter at all. She probably drank too much or it just wasn't her night. Did she mix with anything else? Did she eat before drinking… did she pound it or drink slowly… there's a lot of factors.
The best tip I can give is eat some bread or crackers and pound a bottle of water before you go to bed… no hangover!
And no sugary drinks… those are prone to make you feel worse. The more pure the alcohol (vodka is pure…even flavored), the less likliness of getting sick. If you add punch, syrup, etc into the mix… you're going to feel bad.
