Books for learning to cook Indian and Asian food?

Looking for a newbie cook book that will teach me(a beginning at cooking in general) how to cook and what I need to get started cooking the aforementioned foods.

      I would suggest The Complete Asian Cookbook by Charmaine Solomon since it has all those types of recipes, sorted by country.
      I bought the book years ago for myself and have been very happy with it.

      If you like, you can get free recipes here which have lots of Asian foods, Indian, Chinese, Malay
