No. How do you expect to ever make that work (financially)?

Find the French wine you would like to serve locally, although personally, I would never serve French wines at my own wedding.

Really bad idea. The euro/dollar exchange rate is awful. It's probably cheaper to buy French wines in the US than use American money in France - the winemakers are having to make their sales in US dollars to keep their wines from being prohibitively expensive in the US.
There are no cheap shops in France.
A lot of the wineries don't even sell retail.
Transporting the wine will be unsafe and/or illegal and/or expensive - to take it back on a plane - it could break as luggage and you aren't allowed to bring in more than one bottle per person (you can, but then you may need to pay customs/taxes) and if you bring a lot, they may think it's for resale and confiscate it. Shipping is beyond expensive.
A friend and I just got back from France and brought back 6 bottles of very good wines. When we checked the prices in the US, they were the same or even lower (even factoring in US shipping).
