Can dogs drink chocolate milk?

July 3rd, 2008 · 24 Comments

They can't eat chocolate because it doesn't digest well in their systems (I suppose this is more deadly on small dogs, then), so what if it's in liquid form? It's not like it would solidify or anything.
Well, I wasn't going to give it to my dog, I was just drinking it and thought about it randomly.

It's still a form of chocolate, and NO chocolate for doggies!

No. Chocolate is toxic, and milk is undigestable. Neither regular milk or chocolate milk should be given to a dog.

No! never, ever feed a dog chocolate anything. They can become very sick.

No do not give your dog chocolate milk. Not only will he probably have a major poop attack but it's not good for him.

no they shouldnt even have it in liquid form

    • 6 yarmiah // Jul 3, 2008

      I's advise against it.

There is no need for it anyway.

That is a double whammy! A dog cannot handle chocolate, but they also cannot handle lactose which is in milk. So the answer is, NO.

      no milk no chocolate http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080626070900AAPBMht&r=w

They cant have chocolate because there is a chemical in it that makes their heart race. They cant have milk because they are lactose intolerant (like cats). So chocolate milk probably isnt a good idea.

No it's still chocolate. no matter what form it's in. Why would you want to give your dog chocolate milk anyway? What's the matter with water?

    • 11 Allie S // Jul 3, 2008

You shouldn't feed any form of chocolate to a dog.It is so toxic that it can KILL dogs. Stick to dog food and water from now on.

Why would you want to give a dog chocolate milk and risk upsetting their stomachs or worse?

If you want to give your dog something special, go to a pet store and pick out something proper that they can actually eat.

I am not going to be rude on purpose, but think about it,
1.any milk is not good for a dog, hard to digest, unless you give goats milk
2.chocolate in any form is toxic, why would you think liquid would be safe
3.think about kids with nut alergies, just cause they a mushed up lets say like peanut butter, whould it still not be considered dangerous
and since you didn't know about liquid chocolate, here's a few others to stay awy
      grape/grape juice,raisen
do a search on google or yahoo and find out what food are dangerous to your dog…

    • 22 tony // Jul 3, 2008

No, do not ever feed any dog something with sugar, in it even bread. If you feed them something with sugar after a few days or weeks your dog will go blind, so be careful….
