Are you a vegetarian or a vegan?
Well, if you're not ingesting the stuff, I'd say go for it. But it's a very personal decision in your case. One that only you can make, I'm afraid.

Hmm.. does the company have a website? They may list the ingredients on there, or on the back of the bottle.

yes it is true, and yes you can use it, but you're not a "vegan".
If you are a complete vegan , than no, you can not, you are, by using it, contributing to all that b.s. (cruelty to animals)
you dont need that stuff for your nails, there are natural oils, found in your health food store, …that contain NO animal product or testing , that is just as beneficial to your nails.

vegetarion is a diet…
unless you plan to eat nail polish, go for it.
(in your case I think you'd be more of like, an animal rights activist?)

wow i haven't heard anything about this…im a vegetarian too, and i don't eat gelatin, wear leather, etc. however, as a vegetarian (or even a vegan) there is only so much you can do. there are probably alternatives out there that are veggie friendly, but i would guess you would have to order them online, thus spend a lot of money. if i were in your place, i would research it first, and if you have no luck, just use it. yes, it's sad, but just think of all the animals you already save from not eating meat and avoiding other gelatin products. you're doing your part, and until enough people are vegetarians that these products become more heavily available, this is all you can do. also, decisions like these are ultimately your choice. no one's going to take away your right to calling yourself a vegetarian! good luck. =)

i have no idea…but i have a svdlj'out of curiosity vegeterians refuse to eat meat or use any products made from or tested from animals …but i dont see the use bcuz animals get killed any way from the rest of the people in the society and if not by humans by other animals for their well being…isnt it just the cycle of life??
