it had plain white rice, black beans, and raisins, it was cooked in some sort of broth, and I think she served it with pork? does anyone have an idea and or a recipe?
it's just a rice dish. not a soup. sorry shoulda said that

It was probably a version of "moros y christianos" (Moors & Christians, or black beans & rice), a very popular Cuban dish;
