No, but I wouldn't take the recommended 2 capsules 3 times daily. Some negative reports about poisoning have occurred with people taking too much fish oil. If you are taking this much, it could possibly give you diarrhea I suppose, but pretty unlikely. I'd take max 2 capsules daily- with a meal.
i stopped useing fish oil caps ,as they turned my tummy and gave me real bad heart burn, also they act as a blood thinner, you really should ask your doc, if you should take fish oil. are you on any other meds, like coumbedon,,blood thinners,or asprin?check it out ,be safe//
you want to get the best out of fish oil, eat fish… we are getting so dependent on supplements these days that we are skimping on the nutrition we think they give us….
Many otc supplements are not worth the money we spend on them, and many are not formulated for the body to even absorb. vitamins being the worse case.
There are elements in foods that work together to allow our body to absorb and use the nutrition they provides…. no supplement has been proven to do that yet…
it will not cause diarreah normally. you can experiment it by using for a day or two to see if there is any side effect. so just buy the small pack for the trial. if you are allergic to some content then and this capsule contains it, then check just get the advice from the expert.
if this is advised by the doctor then he must have advised it after going through your medical record. so be tension free.
There are several potential negative side effects of fish oil capsules. A person could have an allergy to the gelatin or to trace compounds in the fish oil, potentially causing intestinal irritation and diarrhea. For individuals with GERD, taking fish oil capsules can increase the incidence of reflux (true with any oil). For those with gall bladder or other bile issues, eating straight oil can cause issues (true with any oil). For those on blood thinners, fish oil can cause issues with clotting and uncontrolled bleeding. Depending on the source, processing, and quality, fish oil capsules can also contain heavy metals like mercury, including methyl-metals, which can be toxic to carcinogenic.
All in all though, fish oil does very powerful things within the body. As the fat metabolized to anti-inflammatory intermediates, it can help alleviate allergies, rashes, and skin issues. It can also help with brittle nails and hair. Fish oil also absorbes into the body better than alternatives like flax seed oil.
There is something some peolple don't understand fish oil or omega 3 is an ESSENTIAL fatty acid, meaning that if we don“t get enough in our diet we get sick.
21st century diets are omega 3 depleted. They have 20 times less omega 3 than what we need. That is the reason to supplement with fish oil. Take at least 3.000 mg daily.
If you are having stomach problems switch the brand name or take before/after meals.
