I liked ur Q Kate….
you brought me back to my childhood again……
At my granny's house is was common to see all the veggies you can imagineñ
Although she left Lebanon , she followed the same uses here.
About me…….no…..I have nothing of that in my garden.
It has only grass and the trees on it are ornamental ones., has many jasmeens too.
BUT……..in the kitchen window, I have nana, zaatar, oregan and some other herbs for cooking.

We try but our soil is very sandy & it takes a lot of effort to get anything to grow well…We have been here for 31 years & in that time have experimented with all types of gardens with some successes.
We have all sorts of herbs as well as many tropical fruit & nut trees including some exotics..
Our block is approx an acre so we have planted native trees & shrubs out front for privacy & an orchard out back!

If they grew before, they will probably keep on growing.
And I dont have my own garden with fruits and veggies, only with plants, flowers and trees.
