And if not, how do you bathe? We are under a boil water order right now and my DH is a hot tar roofer and comes home from work super dirty. They are saying our neighborhood’s water will be on and off at least through Wednesday, and possibly longer.

Boil water and take a bath instead.
Boil several gallon jugs and keep them on hand to cool off the water in the tub.
Oh, and if you really need to take a shower, check in to your local hotel or motel for 3hrs or so and take it there.

Yes it is fine to shower, unless of course you drink a lot of water while in the shower.
