Italian is more popular and has become world renowned. Its pizza and pasta recipes are savored by all who share love for Italian dishes. Everyone loves Italian!
i'm used to italian food and really enjoy it, but greek is a great change. everytime i go to the greek restaurant i try something new. it's an adventure, so my vote right now goes to greek being better.
They are so similar. As I'm used to Greek food - I tend to enjoy the Italian restaurant here, but as I've never been to Italy I'd be wrong to compare the two.
Years ago Greek salads etc tasted 100 times better - now it's getting impossible to find good quality tomatoes (that are the base of most Greek dishes). Too many hormones are used. My friend was woken up in the early hours because he thought there was a burglar - he owns a shop next door to a greengrocers - it was the strangest noise - He found the culprit - it was the delivery of a sack of cucumbers for next door - they were growing in the sack! Shows how much crap is sprayed on the things now. Even tomatoes when cut seem to have a texture like watermelon inside - *sigh* I remember the good old days! I presume Italians follow the same or similar farming methods.

Greek! Btw, did you know that both famous Italian dishes pizza and pasta (macaroni, lazagna, etc) names are of Greek origin?

Both nice, but you get bored of Italian cuisine pretty soon, while Greek cuisine is unlimited. So I go for Greek.
Wicked Apathy: Thanks for the info, very interesting!

Why either/or again? Sometimes Greek, sometimes Italian and even sometimes Chinese or Thai. Why be monolithic?
