My guppy fishies have been getting attacked i think, i havent seen it but i see one of my guppies suffering because of its tail being eaten off.
I have a community freshwater tank 55 gallons with all community fish, i’ve never seen the fishies fight.

I have angel fish, tiger barb, shark fish, 2 snails, and eh i dont know all the names but the pet store ppl only give me community fish.

idk whats going on in the tank…what could be hurting the guppies?

I think it may be the tiger barbs, you should probably take the guppies out before they are killed, or divide the tank. Let your guppies heal and monitor the tank to see which fish is attacking them.Good luck!

Could be being nipped at by the barbs or other fish, or could have fin rot. Switch up your decorations and try to make the fish establish new territories. If no help, try using medication for fin rot. If no help still, you may need to separate them.

Tiger Barbs are fin nippers. they probally are attacking the Guppies

Could also be your angelfish they are not very friendly. Guppies are an easy target because of their long flowing tails. Treat your fish for fin rot or it can spread to the rest of your fish. It is a bacterial infection that often starts with an injury.

Guppies should be kept by itself, a tank full of guppies. Guppies give birth to the young a live and IT WILL BE EATEN by the other fish when it is born.

The angel, tiger barb and Shark (red tail?) could all attack guppies.

They are what I would class as semi-agressive, not totally peacefull community fish.

Tiger barbs are known fin nippers, and really need to be kept in a school of six or more. Otherwise they take out their frustrations on the other fish.

Angels WILL simply eat guppies as they get bigger.

Shark - depends what sort, but they are better with the barbs and angel than the guppies.

I suggest you return the guppies and stick with the larger semi-agressive fish that should be fine in that size tank.

      Ian
