and why is it so hard to peel them off?
I just ate a salted egg and whenever I eat and when I peeled the shell off it damage the egg.
So I pretty much ate half of the egg x_X
Also, why is that white yolk is salty and the yellow is not?
Do you like saulted eggs? (I don’t know if that’s what you call them in English) I’m not talking about regular eggs.
nah, when you buy these saulted eggs. they are already boiled.
MGC = Why I didn't think of that way?
that's so easy hahahha silly me. But I like to mix it with my rice ya know? lol

well you have to boil it for less time than you usually do if you want it to peel of easy. i guess it depends on what type of eggs you get that makes them salty.
i think brown ones are more salty in my opp.

tap both ends, then roll them with your hand on a benchtop ,the shell will come off readily

i love salted egg too (itlog na pula as the locals call it)
maybe because the curing time is not enough for the salt to penetrate into the yolk entirely. I once witnessed how it is done, they have this special kind of clay mixed with salt, and they "bathe" the egg with it, keep it for some time, then later on boil it.
what i usually do is to slice the egg in half. i dont have the amount of patience of peeling it nicely

you don’t peel it you just have to cut it in half using a knife and then scoop it using a spoon, it’s good with tomatoes too.

I do it in a different way. I cut the salted egg into half using a knife and just scoop the contents by spoon.

Someone gave you the right answer. Cut in half, lengthwise is better & scoop out.
The tomatoes you also need a knife to cut them up.
Bon apetit.

i loooooove salted eggs… itlog na maalat kumbaga…
like the others said here, i just cut it in half then scoop it out…
but here in China, i have seen people who eat salted eggs straight from the shell–they peel off just a portion from one end, wide enough for chopsticks to fit in, then they eat it from there.

I am a latecomer, and others have given you the divide and scoop answer. That would have been my answer, too.
But thank you for this question. Because it gave me the idea for my next invention. A high tech device that does exactly what you want. This would involve the use of micro lasers, and a complicated computer program that first measures the egg, and then shoots it with laser beams all over, thus vaporizing the shell. This would be called Aref’s High Tech device for Peeling Off Your Red Eggs.

it is the way they have been processed that makes the shell cling to the albumin (egg white). if the processors know what they were doing, they should have put the eggs into a container of cold or running water immediately after taking them off the boiling pot.
i also love salted eggs, and i do away with the shelling by just cutting the whole unshelled egg in half and then scoop the edible part with a spoon.
Sorry, just saw that some people have already answered the same thing.
