i would say about 15, a gallon each lol it’s better with less otherwise it get overcrowded and also difficult if you need to clean it out or if they have a disease it will spread real quick

Don’t listen to the first answer they are crazy to think that would fit.
For tropical fish the general rule of thumb is 1 gallon for every 1 inch of fish. tiger barbs get to about 4 inches long so thats 4 gallons for one tiger barb, corys depending on which one you get grow to about same size.
so if you buy them the fish as babies you could keep 6-7 of them, then keep those through adulthood. Be warned that tiger barbs are aggresive and must be in schools or alone or else they gang up on each other.
You will have to do more water changes if you keep more than intended amount of fish.
Good luck

I'm not sure I'd even mix those two fish types.
I suggest either going with a species specific tank and only get 5-6 tiger barbs so your tank doesn't get over-crowded; or pick something less aggressive to go with the Cory's like Black Widow Tetra's which also school and stay in the 3" range.
Tiger barbs are known aggressive fin-nippers, can get to be about 3" - and are schooling fish that do best in groups of 5+. Are fairly active and may find 15g a tad cramped, or may be okay. But are not typically compatible with long-finned or slow-moving tank mates.

Cory cats can get to be about 2.5, and are peaceful bottom-feeders.

With a tank that small, I also recommend to get a filter that is rated slightly larger; like for 20-30 gallons rather then 10-20. This will help keep your water levels more stable over time.
Hope this helps~

the rule is one square inch of fish (not including fins) per one gallon of water.

Hi the rule of thumb with a fish tank is an inch of fish per gallon so 15 1inch fish or 2 7 inch fish that’s what i learned working at a fish store

If you have a 15 gallon tank it is best that you have for the limit 15 because every fish needs one gallon of water even the little ones. Hope it helps

don’t listen to the first 4 answers they have no idea what there talking about I would get 6 tiger barbs, 6 green tiger barbs and 3-6 false juli cories

Ok, so Barbs and Corys are normally a little over 2 inches. So the equation is for every inches of fish is 1 gal. So that’s about 6-7 Barbs/Corys
GoodLuck

corys r shoaling fish, so at least 5 of them. u probably wouldnt hav enuf space 4 all those fish cuz barbs r shoaling fish too, so only of type of barb, and at least 5, then ur tank would be fully stocked. whoever said that u can fit 25 FISH IN A 15 GALLON IS WRONG. U CAN HARDLY FIT 10 FISH IN A 15 GALLON AND THEY WOULD HAV 2 B SMALL FISH. Additional Details: 20-25 are you sure its a 15 GALLON. u r right 4 saying this im glad ur not like some ppl out there who keep that many fish in small tanks. hope this helps! -heart, ally86ozzy
