Would completly depend on where you live and are you buying a carton of a dozen or more????
I buy a dozen farm fresh brown eggs from a girl I work with for $1.00 a dozen, in the store a dozen eggs runs more like $2.00

Price varies on size of eggs (small, medium, large, extra large, jumbo) and probably on the area of the country.

Eggs in the Mid-Atlantic region are going for $1.69 for a dozen of small eggs to $2.29 for a dozen of jumbo eggs.

    I hope this helps!

Here in the Midwest, Indiana to be exact, they are about $2.15 for 1.5 dozen.

There’s a real world out there.

Walk down the road to a grocery store, look for the dairy and eggs cooler, and read the pricetags.

That depends. Eggs from factory-farmed, tightly-caged hens that are full of antibiotics and hormones and are usually under $1.00.
On the other hand, eggs from hens that are fed without hormones and antibiotics and eat a diet free of pesticide ridden chicken feed and are able to range freely outdoors can be as high a $4.00 a dozen. At only 33 cents per egg, the healthy version are a great deal, and you are not supporting the cruel practice of caged hens for eggs.

Here in the U.K, depending where u buy from, can cost between £1 and £2 for 6 eggs. The more expensive being free-range or organic i guess. ;-)
