i usually use the largest aluminum pan i can find and 5 pounds of pasta that way everyone is sure to get and there is extra if people want to take home or you want to serve leftovers one night.

1 regular sized bag of pasta feeds 3-4 people so I would recommend 5 bags of pasta to be safe. Rather have leftovers than not enough food. or 5 lbs

1/4 pound per person…for 20 people that is five pounds.

I usually count about 5 oz uncooked pasta per person. If this is the only main dish, up that to about 6 or 7 oz per person, to account for seconds.
Probably about 6-7 lbs of dry pasta.

Um, 1.5 pounds of dry pasta is enough for my family of 4 (most of the time). Remember, pasta does expand and all, so 1.5 pounds will have more volume and weight after cooking…I will predict you need 10-15 pounds of pasta. 1/2 to 3/4 of a pound of pasta should be plenty for everyone.

Well taking on a project like this would lead me to believe that you’ve at least cooked for a family of lets say… 4 or 5 before. So simple multiplication should be all this calls for.

I find that a 1 pound box of pasta can feed about 4 so I think 5 pounds of pasta should be sufficient. I’m not sure how much pasta will fit in one pan though, but one of the big ones may be fine.

if it were 20 of me eating the past id make like 10 pounds but most people dont eat as much as a 17 ear old guy so depending on there age should tell how much they might eat anyone under 23 and over 12 or 13 will eat alote!!!! like maby half a pound but anyone else willl probably eat a quarer pound so depending on the age of the eaters you should be able to do the math

Well everyone eats various amounts………so it’s hard to say. Better to have more than enough. This also depends if there will be other food and I’m assuming there will be cake at this shower too. Always MUST leave room for sweets
Typically 5 ounces of DRY pasta is good per person. Multiply that times 20, is 100 ounces, which is 6.25 pounds. So maybe 7 pounds, 8 just to be on the safe side.
Congrats on the little blessing too! God bless!
