      I believe in most cases you must be at least drinking age, 21 years of age, depending on the State's legal drinking age.

      18 if you are in the back doing dishes or busing tables. If it is a family dining you can serve the food but not the liquor. Some bar owners just won't hire minors, because of the repercussions if something would happen.

      I think it depends on state law. I know in NYS it's 18 to serve, 21 to drink. I don't know if other states are different though.

      I thought you can be 18 to work in a bar and gril. You just can't serve any alcohol.
