I want to make chicken soup. Allot of ppl said that spaghetti isn’t good for it so I was thinking to add rice. Can anyone out there let me know how I should add it. Should I cook the rice then add it or try and add it while making the soup?

I would recommend cooking it first because it will absorb two cups of water for one cup of rice

Of course, spaghetti is just fine to put in there! Pasta is pasta, and you can use whatever kind or shape that you have …… If you put in regular rice, it will need to simmer, covered, for about 1/2 hour; Minute Rice would need alot less time to simmer (covered)…… Soup is not an exact science, and you can put whatever you want into it!

You can add rice,or orzo which is pasta and it’s delicious. You add the rice towards the end of cooking the chicken soup.
Don’t cook the rice before ,let them cook together. It is more delicious this way and easier.

I would cook it separately and add to each bowl. If you cook it in the soup, it will soak up a lot of the broth, and will continue to soak it up if you have leftovers, making the rice really soggy. I have had this problem with noodles in soup too. Good luck and enjoy your soup!
