How to grow Curry Leaves Plant in B.C. Canada ?

I am trying to grow curry leaves plant.
Any advice on type of fertilizer to use ?

      It will not winter over in Canada. It need to be zone 8 or warmer to be grown as a perennial. Start in the spring. And general fertilizer will do. It needs good drainage.
