How to take out sim card in LG Chocolate 8550 from Verizon?

I left my phone next to a cup of water and it leaked leaving my phone nice and wet. Only the bottom got wet which is the battery. My phone was on, but right when i opened it, it turned off. I took off the battery and it is airing out in my room along with the phone under a desk fan. People have told me i should take out the sim card to dry it off but i don't know where it is or how to take it out. Can someone tell me where it is and the tools i might need? Thanks

      dont take anything out.
      dry the phone out overnight, take the battery out.
      then tomorrow when you wake up take the phone & the battery and put it in a box of dry rice for the whole day, you may want to leave it in for 2 days.

      My friend dropped her chocolate phone in the fish tank & thats what she did, it worked

      there is no sim card in a Verizon phone they have CDMA service .. no sim cards!!!
      There is no thing to take out …… just open the phone up and take out the battery and let dry for at least 24-48 hrs before trying to use it again
