I am looking for a recipe for deep fried brownies that doesn't involve a coating on the outside.?

I had a dessert the other day, it was just small brownie bites that were deep fried and the center was still soft served with vanilla ice cream. Just trying to figure out the art of this. Do they just freeze the brownie mix and then deep fry it?
