They eat fruits and veggies and Nuts and just bird foods…but i heard there is something else thats suppose to help. i didnt plan on getting the pair since im not that experienced…but i didnt want to seperate them since they are a pair…at first i just bought one of the birds..but it didnt make noise at all…so i decided to go back and get the other one. and when i brought it in and put it with its pair they made the cutest sound ever i couldnt get them to be quiet. I didnt want them to be quiet either….but i thought that it would be nice if they slept in a little nest….unfortunately….they laid six eggs.. and all they do is go in and out for food and water and dont pay much attention to the fresh fruit s is there any vitamins or anything i can put in their regular food and water?

just look on the internet or get a book.

There are bird vitamin drops you can put into their water. Crushed oyster shell boosts calcium for egg laying.

What kind of food are they on to start with? A high quality pellet diet would be ideal. You can also add vitamins to their water, also place a cuttle bone in the cage and you can buy a vitamin/mineral block for the birds to chew on. There are also hand feeding formulas or high protein diets specifically for laying birds that you can sprinkle over their current food to help supplement the parents.
