I want a dry wedding, but I know that won’t go over great with 90% of our guests (which in a small wedding makes a big difference lol), so my groom and I thought about just offering a couple selections of wine, as well as a signature eggnog cocktail (a recipe we got from Martha Stewart).
Would this limited selection be better then a dry wedding, or would it be better just to offer no alcohol?
Would an eggnog cocktail be too “Christmasy” if the wedding was in February?

Ultimately, you should do what you want. If having a dry wedding is more important to you than having some guests miss the booze, then go dry.
A lot of the time, people do the “beer, wine, soda” routine. We did that at our small party. We didn’t have the money or the desire to have a full open bar, but we did want our guests to have the option of having something to drink.

I would suggest having champagne available, since it’s such a tradition at weddings, and maybe one type of red wine if you’re serving anything that might call for a red. The eggnog cocktail sounds fine, even for February, and you can talk to the caterer/bartender beforehand about “pushing” whatever you’d prefer people to select. They know how to do that, believe me.

I’m not sure an eggnog cocktail would be much of a crowd pleaser… I love eggnog, but I’m the only person in my entire family at Christmas who will actually drink it! If you are limiting drink selections, you should try then to stick with something that will appeal to the most amount of guests.

That sounds pretty yummy, actually! Those are very tasteful choices. I don’t the eggnog will be “Christmasy” but it will probably make people a little extra sentimental just because of the happy family traditions generally associated with Christmas and eggnog.
Good luck and congratulations!

Not eggnog, it is too Christmasy. I would go with a drink that represents February somehow. Brainstorm February the Gemstone is Amethyst, Aquarius/Pisces are the Zodiac Signs, It's black history month Valentines day, Lincoln and Washington both have birthdays in Feb = Presidents day.
If you choose valentines day you can just choose a cocktail with grenadine in it to make it red. Maybe add some swizzle stick with hearts on them?
Amethyst is a protective gemstone, It can be relatively inexpensive, perhaps use the stone as party favors. jagermister is a purple alcohol. many people don;t like it's 'cough medicine' taste though
If you want to go with t he Aquarius/ Pisces aspect you can use Blue sapphire Gin and make Martinis.
Anyway, hope I helped.
Congratulations

i personally feel that eggnog is a Christmas drink. I never really see anyone drinking it in February…
So instead of doing Egg Nog, Wine, and Soda, I say you should have Beer, Wine, and Soda. many people do not like wine and prefer beer.
