If you order the Mr. Beer brewing kit do they ID you?

November 10th, 2008 · 4 Comments

Im 18 years old and was thinking of ordering the Mr. Beer brewing kit from Amazon.com and having it sent to my PO Box. I was wondering if they are going to ID me when I go to pick up my package at the post office?

Since it isn’t alcohol (yet) it’s just the ingredients to make it, they shouldn’t have any reason to ID me right?

No not at all as long as you are purchasing it for your personal use.Other way to receive it to name the parcel in a different way as laboratory instruments for research purpose.

You only get ID’d when you buy alcohol. Mr. Beer contains no alcohol, merely the equipment required to make your own.

For all they know, you could be gifting it to your older brother.

Also, if you got the ingredients with it, that’s not alcohol yet so they won’t ID you. If you didn’t, then don’t worry about being asked for ID if you buy the ingredients seperately.

No. You won’t have to prove your age. However, your judgment might be in doubt. Instead of getting a “toy kit”, consider getting a full-sized one, such as Brewers’ Best. In the long run, it will pay off.
