In early pregnancy did anyone experience this while drinking coffee/caffiene?

June 15th, 2008 · 2 Comments

I usually can drink coffee with or without sugar with no problem. I don't drink a lot of coffee (i've had three cups in the past week). However, with the past two cups I've had I've gotten so shaky, nauseated, etc. This sounds ridiculous to ask but I've also been exhibiting other signs of pregnancy that could be just normal cycle stuff, which is why I'm asking if anyone else has had this happen to them. My period isn't due until the 18th or so. This also seems way to early to be having pregnancy symptoms. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I hate the waiting game.
You're so sweet! My breasts aren't sore but I am nursing my 11 month old so I'm not sure if that plays a part in it too.

It is unlikely that you would experience pregnancy symptoms before a week after a missed period. There just isn't much of the pregnancy hormone in you at that point. You could be dehydrated, or if you drink on an empty stomach it could make you feel like that. Try drinking decaf for a while, treat yourself as if pregnant, and take a pregnancy test when you can.
Good luck, sorry, but the waiting game gets us all at some point :)
