No that is not a problem. I really hope you two do not argue about this. I can not help but make reference to my ex who had a big problem with me just having a few beers a week. I mean she would freakin go crazy on me. Like she was some kind of doctor trying diagnose me with alcoholism. She is the one that needed a couple of beers EVERY night.
She has since been ousted though, thank God. Some women should be happy that their men have a couple of drinks. Men tend to open up, listen more, and be more talkative with a couple of beers in the system. Just a thought.
The US Dept of health has recommendations for alcoholic beverage consumption. For me, a 30 year old male of slight-medium build, I should be rationed something like 4-5 beers per week.
I drink that much on an average night.
It’s about whether your boyfriend’s drinking is a problem or not. If he gets angry when he can’t have his beer, or his income can’t handle the expense, or he’s avoiding something by drinking … that’s a problem.
hell no….not nearly enough….what kind of america is this when a 30 year old dude cant have a couple beers every weekend…..an america that i dont want to live in…….i know more than one person that drinks at least 2 cases of beer(48 beers) every single week….now maybe they have a problem…but if someone cant have 2 beers a week, we might as well live in kazahkastan or some retard 3rd world nation….people go to far with this sometimes…….
Average male can drink 2-3 beers a night and be fine. At 1-2 beers a night, there’s actually a health benefit. I’m sure you’ve heard of the health benefits in wine, due to the antioxidants. Well, turns out the alcohol is more important than the antioxidants (which do play a role, just the alcohol is the more important aspect). This means the same health benefits are also found in beer. Actually, beer is a bit safer because high concentrations of alcohol also have their own problems (this is why you don’t take shots of very high proof liquors, such as Everclear and Bacard 151); the higher alcohol content of wine is slightly worse than the content of beer (13.5% versus about 5%). That’s a minor effect, but still something in the favor of beer.
Basically, your boyfriend is a very responsible drinker. Don’t worry about his drinking unless it becomes daily.

Yes, that’s a big problem. Two beers a week is nowhere near enough.
