I am having a lingerie bridal shower. It will start at 6pm. My colors will be tiffany blue and white. I wanted to serve a cocktail made with Alize. Is this ok? I can’t see why not.
People have lingerie showers for one reason…….they want lingerie!
I want to build up my lingerie. I am registered at Fredericks of Hollywood. Just the fact that they have a registry shows that lingerie showers aren't unheard of.

you shower is normally not planned by you. It is planned by your bridesmaids so that would be up to them. It is just a courtesy extended to them since you have a hand in planning everything else.

Just consider your guests. If an alcoholic is present, then no. If your grandmother is there (although Lord only knows why your GMA would be at a lingerie shower) probably not.
Other than that, go for it!

If you’re all adults I can’t see why serving liquor at your bridal shower would be wrong. What I don’t understand is why you’re having a lingerie bridal shower, but that’s none of my business.

I love the idea! Maybe a few hors d'oeuvres or dinner as well would be nice!
Just make sure you have a non-alcoholic drink option as well. You can't go wrong with a cocktail!

sorry but are you throwing yourself a bridal shower? that’s really rather rude and not done. it should be your bridal party giving you a shower otherwise it looks as though you are just asking for presents.
as for cocktails - why not? it is supposed to be a fun thing - a bridal shower - thrown by your attendants.

You don't plan your own shower but you can make suggestions to the bridesmaids who are the hostesses. Cocktails are not typically served at showers but you can do whatever you want. Make sure that you also have nonalcoholic options for those who don't drink for any reason.

Since it’s in the evening, I think it’s fine to serve a cocktail. I’m assuming it’s your girlfriends having the shower (since it’s lingerie) and I’m sure they’ll think it’s great!

I would think that to have cocktails at a bridal shower is completely the norm. I know for a fact that the ladies that are hostessing my bridal shower for me next month will have plenty of champagne and wine available. For those ladies that choose to not partake in this type of beverage, there will be other refreshments on hand, I am quite sure.
EDIT: don't let them beat you up on here for choosing to have your shower centered around giving of lingerie. This is perfectly acceptable, and actually is the norm in the higher socioeconomic circles. It's the perfect opportunity for a bride to be to build her trousseau for her honeymoon and newlywed life.
