It is perfectly fine, just remember that they are high in fat so eating to much will cause more weight gain than what is wanted or needed.

I ate french fries with my son and he came out health so I think french fries are safe. I heard tuna or anything with fish in food is bad. congrats on the baby

Are you serious? Get real…..everyone, including prego women eat fries! Just curious, what “harm” did you think you might cause?

thats non sense there is alot of food out there that is bad for u so go for it like my grandmother says (old wives tale) if you dont eat what you crave then your baby will come out looking like a french fry hahhaah but really go for it and have some french fries or if your so worried make them in the oven untill their a little crispy instead of eating them fried and add a little pinch of salt not to much then itll be bad if you consume too much salt so think wisely

Yes it’s ok to eat french fries but just don’t over do it. I have been craving potatoes any potatoes from the very beginning of my pregnancy. I am having a boy and I am 28w 4d. I eat potatoes every chance that I get. Just try to not use salt everytime u eat potatoes. So that way u win’t develope high blood pressure. Good Luck, u maybe having a boy!!!!!!

I sure hope so
My kids 9 months and two haven’t shown any ill effects to them yet expect my 2 year old is addicted to them.
Seriously they are ok to eat. They are not the healthiest choice especially when fried but they have no effects on pregnancy or your growing baby. Except maybe if that was all you eat. You know then you’d be fat and not healthy because of the viatiams and nutrients you and baby need.

Fries are fine, just remember moderation. I have heard that when you crave something it is your body telling you that it has something that you need. Maybe your body is looking for more sodium. Just try not to overdue it, Congrats and Good Luck!

I’ve never heard that french fries can harm the baby.. Its not the best nutritional thing to eat..but I just had half a plateful of Gates Fries with Extra Hot BBQ Sauce and it was GREAT. Good luck

I ate them a bunch through out my pregnancy and my little guy is fine. Idk why it would be bad. Hey and why not, you are going to gain weight anyway right? lol Enjoy!

First off ignore mom of 4’s comment because she obviously does not remember what it is like to be newly pregnant with your first child and have the living crap scared out of you by news, doctors, books, friends etc. about all the things you shouldn’t eat, do, smell, taste and so forth. I too have a terrible craving for fries and to make sure i asked my Dr. and yes in moderation they are absolutely fine. The only thing food wise i was warned against was allergic tendency foods such as shell fish and peanuts and or peanut butter. Not that it has been fully prooven but these foods are high as a food allergy to some people and your baby could develop and allergen to them without you knowing it because its not hereditary to develop a food allergy. The warning was same as alcohol about those foods. Hasn’t been proven but good idea to avoid it just in case.

french fries are totally cool, but if you’ve been sick i’d be careful. They are very starchy, and probably the worst food i’ve had the experience of throwing up when pregnant. Just a fair warning. But if you don’t get sick, there is no harm to the baby!
Best wishes!
