Is it okay to use dark cocoa in chocolate chip cookies?

All I have is Hershey's Dark Chocolate Cocoa, not regular. Have you ever used this in chocolate chip cookies? Is it good? I like dark chocolate, so that's not an issue.

Oh, here's the recipe I am using:

Perfectly Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies:

25 min | 15 min prep | SERVES 1 , 60 cookies

Ingredients
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup two sticks butter or margarine (softened)
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup light brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

1. Heat oven to 375°F.
2. Stir together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
3. Beat butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla in a large bowl until creamy. Add eggs; beat well.
4. Gradually add flour mixture, beating until well blended.
5. Stir in chocolate chips and or nuts.
6. Dropped by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheets.
7. Bake 8-10 min

Yes! It will just have a darker flavor. I assume you are talking about dutch process cocoa powder. Dutch process and regular can be used in place of each other.

I think it will be great and a nice contrast to the semi sweet chips. Good luck!
