Is it possible for the Knicks to sign LeBron in 2 years? If not, why not swap Curry for Gerald Wallace?

To my knowledge, the NBA Salary Cap (luxury tax) is set at 58.68 million. Almost 30 million is coming off their payroll this off-season in Marbury & Rose contracts expiring. I don’t know what the luxury tax will be set at though. Will it fit the starting annual rate of LeBron, Wade or Bosh?

Here’s the problems is David Lee & Nate Robinson are free agents too at the end of this season. Chris Duhon is a free agent at the end of next season too. Both of them are important players for the Knicks to success. Those three guys are becoming free agents in the same year Eddy Curry & Jared Jeffires who are on player’s option year that he’s likely to pick up. Is it possible to get under the cap low enough without trading Curry who no one wants without trading another bad contract? Or trading Zach Randolph who’s arguably New York’s best player?

Gerald Wallace is a good player. He’d be a big upgrade on Quenton Richardson. I mean a really big upgrade. Richardson will probably get beat out by Chandler for the starting spot by the end of the season. Gallinarni probably won’t be an impact player this season. The Knicks are 4-2 right now. I’d wait longer to see how competitive they are. But a starting line up with Duhon, Crawford, Wallace, Randolph & Lee may be good enough to get them in the postseason. Eddy Curry is the most useless Knick next to Stephon Marbury.

The Bobcats want to do this trade so they can free up more money. There are rumors that Wallace's shooting touch may be going. And that he's got back problems. I don't know how true that is though. He can really help the Knicks.
I don't think anyone believes in Marbury lol Not even himself. The guy gets in shape every summer before every season. And than turns into an emotional mess within a few weeks. D'Antoni's a good coach. He said the hell with this loser.
I don't think he believes in Eddy Curry… Curry looks like such a lazy player. He's not mobile. He can't run with the offense. Randolph works so much better. He can shoot from the perimeter. He actually uses his body and battles for the board… Not as much as Lee, but much more than Curry.

Curry isn't even on the active roster. Even Jerome James is lol D'Antoni said Curry is not in his rotation… It has to be hard on Curry who was nearly an All-Star two years ago. They don't need him. Especially once they get Jeffries back…

definitely possible. But G-Wall has a big contract…knicks wanna dump salary not add more. Plus, D’Antoni believes in Curry, unlike Marbury.

LBJ will NOT come to NY. Its just a hype that people are spreading so teams cut down salary.

Plus, the knicks are 4-2. Curry’s contract is a bargain if you ask me. They should be on the path to rebuilding with or without LBJ. I think they do better without, with a PG Duhon leading a team rather than a hyped superstar.

I would love to see the Knicks be a good team again.
