Is saying that your religion is the "right religion" kinda like saying Taco Bell has the best Mexican food?

Cause, you know, Taco Bell really doesnt sell Mexican food. Its really just cheap knock offs of Mexican food…I think anyway. :0
Well I live in New Mexico and have lived in Texas before that. I have actually been to "Mexican Food Heaven" and it isn't at Taco Bell.

How DARE you say that Taco Bell's food isn't the BEST mexican food!

      Geezah, that's absolutely perfect.

Although lasagna really is the best food there is. Hands down.

      Edit:

      nobody important,

I'm sorry, but flavor doesn't lie. Taco Bell pwns you and you know it in your heart. El Pimienta Malvada wants you to think otherwise and therefore clouds your tastebuds with wickedness. I will pray for you.

It's more like saying you just saw Santa banging Wonder Woman in your living room. You know it doesn't happen, but some fools still believe!

      It's mush-just like all religions.

    • 4 Geezah // Jul 9, 2008

Actually, I find it more like claiming that one's favorite food is the "best" food.

No, because Taco Time clearly has the best Mexican food, especially their quesadillas.

There is no such thing as a 'true' or 'right' religion. Don't agree? Open your mind.

When I say my religion is the right religion I believe it is the most complete religion that is directly led by God and Christ.

That doesnt mean I dont think other religions dont have some truth in it or that other people of other religions are going to hell.

Blasphemer. I know that Taco Bell has the best Mexican food. I know this because an omnipotent Chihuahua told me so. I also read it on their menu, which has to be true and cannot be biased in any way. I mean how much more proof do you need?

I think saying that your religion is the best religion is like saying Taco Bell has the best Mexican food.

Saying that your religion is the right religion is like saying Taco Bell is the only place that serves real Mexican Food.

not at all. what an odd question.

For people who have only eaten at Taco Bell their entire lives, Taco Bell IS the best Mexican food.

The same can be applied to religion, in most cases.

      In a way.
But only every religion that believes in one God believes in the same God, but they all have different rules, ceremonies and services, ect.
Other religions like believing that science is behind this all is not true. The whole thing isn't true. But I won't fight.
But if you live a good life, then it doesn't matter what your religion is, and you'll go to Heaven.

My religion doesn't stink out a car after sitting in it for a day.

It is not possible to know the awesome nature of God. As such no religion perfectly encapsulates who and what he is. But most point you in the right direction. My christian faith has been strengthened and made clearer by studying other Holy Text. Like the Bible of Kaballah, the zohar, The Quran, the Torah, and the Bahavad Gita. There is one truth, but the beauty and awesome nature of God is so complex that no one perspective can contain it. Look for what they all have in common. (hint: Love of God and love of your fellow man)

      Blessings and peace to all,
      All in all,
      B

Saying my God Yahweh is real, exists and is the right God is like saying that the sky is blue and the grass is green.

It is like that but only with more at stake- for those who believe in their particular religion. To carry your analogy to its end we have to say not only is Taco Bell better, but it's the only real food in town. And if you eat that other stuff, you'll die! That's what a religious person would say about your Taco Bell comparison…

      Regardz,

      C.K.

    • 18 baronvonstrudel // Jul 9, 2008

I'm not sure how you connect the two… but I've lived my entire life in southern California, so knowing what real mexican and south american food tasted like… yes Taco Bell is a very cheap imitation of mexican food.

And I don't feel that my religion is the "right religion" for everyone. It's right for me, probably not right for you.

Sure, religion can be like taco bell. If you're used to poorly-made, low-quality, cheap mass-marketed garbage, you'll claim that Taco Bell is the best. See where I'm going with this?
