Is this too much tea/coffee?

I like to have 4 cups a day (either tea or coffee).

Morning / afternoon / evening / night.

The one at night is mint tea.

I also drink a few glasses of water a day, I know I should drink more.

Now, some people argue that for every cup of caffeine drink you should have a glass of water (I often do this) to keep yourself hydrated.

Others argue that the consumption of tea / water is part of water intake and counts your daily water requirement, which we are told should be 8 glasses.

I think that what I do is quite sensible and balanced and would really find it difficult cutting back on tea / coffee.

      I think what you are doing is okay. Everyone has an opinion and I am sure others wont agree with me and you. Just make sure you do drink water in between. As long as you feel good go for it. Everyone's system is different.

      No, that is a fine amount. I drink mostly coffee, but I do not include it in my water count because it tends to dehydrate me. I drink about 4 cups of caffeinated coffee through the day and I drink about 100 ounces of water (I go to the bathroom a lot haha) The mint tea I doubt is caffeinated so I would not even count that. Caffeine is what dehydrates you because it works as a diuretic.

      Does it bother you at night? Can you sleep? ARe you anxious and nervous? Does your appetite get out of control?

      If not then drink what you want. I am 60 an drink a lot of coffee and it never affects me.

      Maybe I am ADHD ! hahahahaha They say kids with ADHD and asthmatic children should drink it. It is supposed to react the opposite. I am not 100 percent sure of that…it is just what I heard!
