medicine & wine?

ok so at like 5:00 i had like maybe a half a glass of wine. its 9:00 now and i need to take medicine. i want to know if its safe to take it yet? its 875mg of augmentin.

      You can potentially take augmentin with wine, but be aware that it may increase you chance of stomach discomfort. With half a glass of wine, after 4 hours, it should not make muc of a difference. With other medications and/or with less time between the two, take more caution and ask your doctor.

      If you have normal liver function, the answer is absolutely yes. You will have metabolized the alcohol in that half-glass within two hours, and anything else that would interfere with your meds.
