My dog just ate raw coffee powder! He might have eaten a few ounces. But his breath really smells like coffee beans. It’s caramel flavored coffee from artisan coffee roasters.

He’s a very special dog to me. He is a pure bread basset hound that is hyper as hell all the time. That’s right a basset hound on crack. He’s always playful and energetic he’s a year old. He’s my first dog and i’ve had good and bad times wit him. I need answers please

it all depends on how big the dog is…i know that caffeine is really bad for dogs, but it usually takes around 4 grams to hurt them. if it’s only a couple ounces then don’t worry about it, the worst that can happen is him throwing it up and getting a little wound up. get him to drink some water and then don’t worry about it.

I did not catch what you were asking, but I don’t think he has don enough to do any harm. Try to get him to drink some water and take him out for a walk or let him run around in your yard to get rid of some of the energy from the caffeine.

Go to the vet now, if he/she is a real animal lover they will let you right in. Coffee is very bad for dogs, if he gets really hyper that's a bad sign. I know how you feel, my dog once almost died from eating chocolate. Try to make him throw up if you cant reach a vet. Best wishes.
