Beer, wine, vodka & tonic - who cares. That’s so poo-poo when you have to use the right wines and the correct spoons or forks. Why should things have to be so complicated?
Zero. There are no etiquette rules about which wine goes with which food. The usual practice of white wine with chicken is simply what most people think tastes the best.
It’s not rude at all, so 0. It’s recommended by food professionals who know about this stuff that you drink white wine with chicken because the flavors are supposed to go together better, but who cares? If you like red wine better with your chicken, then red wine it is!
Well if you are someone of the high society.. or a lord or a lady then it’s a faux pas to drink red wine with chicken but if you are Mr or Mrs Smith and you happen to love red wine and chicken and you eat it at home.. you should do what pleases you… normally red wine goes with steak or deer.. but if you like red wine and chicken and hate white wine … I would drink what I want..or drink water.. that goes with everything.. even with fish as fish likes to swim.. not always in white wine
Its not rude at all. The classic French dish “coq au vin” is made with chicken (ok, to be really authentic it should be a tough old cockerel but chicken will do) and red wine. Several other chicken dishes are traditionally drunk with red wine. So if anybody sneers at you for drinking red wine with chicken, you can sneer right back at them for being ignoramuses.
its not rude at all, it is just a matter of taste. usually white wine goes better with chicken but if you like red then go for it, I do. maybe if it is a red that is not too heavy it would go well with chicken
