We have had a platy that has given birth anytime since 10 o clock last night till 8 o clock this morning (GMT time) and if the platy is still pregnant how long more could it be until she gives birth to another fry? The last one that she gave birth to could have been 9 oclock till 1 oclock today. She still seems a little fat but doesnt look like she is about to give birth. also should we put her in breeding box just to be sure?(breeding trap has 2 sections at the moment but we could put it to 3 sections.

Leave her alone for about 24 hrs, then move her back to the main tank. There is enough stress on her being in the death trap (um I mean breeding trap). Needless to say, I believe that instead of stressing the female by moving them to a breeding tank or another tank and back again is really not necessary. Just get lots of plants, java moss is great for fry, and put them close together in a corner of your tank away from the filter intake. Some fry will not survive, but trust me, you will have quite a few that will.=
