The only time I bought jarred - it wasn't good. Well it was half good, I'll put it that way.

If you would like a simple Teriyaki Sauce, here is mine: This stuff tastes like Schwann's Stir Fry. The little truck that drives around selling stuff, LOL

      1/2 cup sugar
      1/2 cup soy sauce
      1/4 cup cider vinegar
      1 clove garlic, minced
      1/2 tsp. ground ginger
      1/4 tsp. pepper

*If you want to thicken the sauce, mix in (at the end) 1 Tbs. cornstarch and 1 Tbs. Sauce (mix first, then add)

I love making stir fry. I use hoisin sauce. Its slightly sweet and sour plum flavor (used in mu shu meals) and can be found in the asian foods isle in any grocery store. just use part of the jar or it can be overwhelming. In my stir fry I also add bean sprouts, yumm!

You know what's good? My trainer at the gym helped me with this: add a little crushed red pepper while stir-frying, then at the end at some soy sauce or Tamari, and then add a couple of spoonfuls of orange marmalade. Orange chicken - delicious!
