red velvet w/ cream cheese frosting…?

i just made red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting… do i have to refridgerate them because of the cream cheese/ butter in the frosting???

      yes store in aair tight container and they willl keep for 3 to 4 days oh yummy ! nowi wan t one LOL!

      Store in the refrigerator until somewhat stiff, before using.
      May be stored in the refrigerator for 3 days.

      yes absolutely. that’s a good question though, because the texture of the cupcake changes a little as it sits in the fridge, and the frosting as well. the cake isn’t as moist and soft, and the frosting almost doesn’t want to stick to the cake. it’s a dilemma for sure, but anything that has a perishable frosting on it must be refrigerated. for next time, try not icing the cupcakes until you need them (as in for a party or something) to make sure that they are exactly how you want them.

      yes you do or you can wait to frost them at a later time and refrigerate just the frosting. Just let the frosting warm up on the counter about 30 minuted before applying to your cup cakes. The cream cheese is what needs to keep cold the butter will be ok just gets very soft.
