It was the EGG!
Because… a super long time ago, two completely different creatures (neither of them a chicken) mated and they produced a new species… the chicken! But of course, the chicken was first an egg. But that egg didn't come from a chicken.

The whole chicken thing really doesn't have a beginning. It's a circle.

Well, the egg came first. It all happens because of natural selection. Over the course of thousands of years, there are small genetic mutaions in the DNA of animals, so they can survive to there ever changing enviornment. The egg of the first chicken, came from some other animal. That chicken mated with the same kind of animal its parents were, making another chicken, and so on. So basically it is all about genetics, and the EGG came first.
HOPE THIS HELPS!!!!!!

it's like this. When I ask " what comes first, chicken or egg?" the answer would be chicken cuz I mentioned it first. But if the question goes like this" what comes first, egg or chicken?", then the answer would be egg.
get it?
