November 10th, 2008 · 3 Comments

Im taking my little girl to Morrocco in december, She is 1 and on cows milk, I am worried about giving her milk from there as i have heard its not very clean etc.
Anyone know anything about the standards of milk there, or have any experience?
Thanks

Can you take along powdered milk and then mix it with bottled water? Or what about soy milk?

I dont know… it’s tough… but maybe you could take powedered milk and mix it with bottled water… or formula? I know you said she’s on cows milk, but it wont hurt her, she can drink some of Nestle’s 18mos+ or there are also some others that are 12 mos + so she gets the nutrients she needs while you guys are in Morocco but also you dont have to worry about her getting sick

Depending on how long you plan to stay, and if it is very much a concern regarding quality, pack in a few cases of pediasure instead. Its as nutritionally as sound as milk(if not more so!) and it keeps well as long as it is not opened. Otherwise, look on the Gov’t web site under travel info, check out travel sites specific to the area you are going, ask that question on any of the many forums dedicated to travel(some specifically to your region!). PP mentioned powdered milk, that would be ok too. But really, I would look into bringing with several cases of pediasure, or even order a brik10 of Resource JFK1.0 or 1.5(google it just like that and you’ll see) Its just like Pediasure, but more compact. Good luck, ejoy your trip!!
