fruit may seem high in calories when you are on a calorie counting diet but they are benefical to us for vitamins,
contain water so aid hydration, fibre for digestion and to prevent constipation and the runs.
      low fat
they fill us up so we are less likely to snack on very high calorie foods that contain trans fats
      good for teeth and bones
ps its not a dumb question

Fruits and vegetables are extremely important to your diet. They are the ones to eat the most through out the day. I suggest you read the book Eat to Live by Joel Fuhrman or go to his website drfuhrman.com………..
