My betta fish is in a bowl, so I can’t heat up the bowl. I don’t know how to get the parasites off! I have no idea what to do! I love this betta fish a lot! Please help me!
What do I do when my betta fish (in a bowl) has velvet?

Take him out of the bowl, this is why he has parasites. You don’t have a filter, probably, which is causing the bacteria to settle on the top, making a sheet of slime. Move your Betta into a 5 gallon tank, with a heater, and a filter. The parasite will be gone, as long as you go to the pet store and get treatment ASAP.

go to ur lfs and buy him a tank, filter and heater and if your feeling lovely a few plants to make his environment better
also get some medication for him…. no fish should be kept in fish bowls….. you wouldn’t like to be locked in a wardrobe for the rest or your life and were u go to the toilet you also have to live and once a week it gets cleaned…. so buy him a tank

You don’t need a 5 gallon tank, Bettas can live very well in a 3 gallon tank. I kept one in 3 gallon tank and he lived almost 4 years. A heater and small filter ( one with very slow water current) are a good idea. Other than that I advice you to get anti parasite medication. Normally anything with Formalin and Malachite Green will do the trick.
You can buy Quick Cure, Malachite Plus, and long etc. Just ask for Malachine Green and Formalin combo at the store. This treatment will only work if your Betta is in a tank as the medication is impossible to dose in a bowl.
