Cheeseburgers, Apple Pie, Cheese steaks, all things processed.

Hey question asker what are you on about hot dogs and cheeseburgers aren't American? I've never once heard about a German eating a cheesburger. Not only did you just dis the American cheeseburger, but you also practically hinted that you thought all Germans were fattys.

ok first of all all americans are immigrants so thats why hot dogs and hamburgers are a big part of our american menus. also, french fries are from belgian. so that means american food is really european food!!!

although here are some american invented foods

scrapple- a savory mush of pork scraps and trimmings combined with cornmeal and flour, often buckwheat flour.. (kinda gross)

made in delaware and new jersey

    -corn dogs. (texas)

    -philly cheese steak (philly) (c’mon!!!)

    -SMORES!!!

    -Reuben sandwich

    -baked alaska (another name giveaway)

    -buffalo wings

-andddddd CHINESE FOOD!!! (the greasy one) for ex.fortune cookies, kung pao chicken, fried rice, low mein, and pretty much all the fried stuff. it was invented in america by chinese people.

    YOUR WELCOME!!!

I don’t think anything can be called “american food”. Everything eaten in America today is pretty much a combination of other types of food (latin, asian, european, etc.) or has at least been influenced by it. American food is basically the melting pot of all cuisine. Unless, you consider “Native American food” American food - which actually might be the better answer.

American food is a lot of different things, because Americans came from a lot of different places.
