What is the appeal of beer(or liquor in general)?

November 10th, 2008 · 9 Comments

Some liquor taste good. But I don’t understand how people like that stuff. It is just disgusting. Or am I just drinking the wrong one? I had Budweiser and Heineken. UGHHH! It tasted like rotten peanuts. Am I just missing out on the good stuff?

#2- Have you ever thought of why you drink? For me it just feels so automatic… Like I don’t have a reason. But that’s just me. How about you.
And what is your favorite drink?

Bud and Heineken are crap beers. Find a local brewery, they generally make things that are much tastier than the macro’s. A lot of beer is delicious, a lot of liquor is delicious and all alcohol feels good.

I often wonder why I drink. I just like it and it relaxes me, I suppose. I prefer red wine like a California Cabernet. But if you want to try a good beer try a bottle (or pint!) of Blue Moon. It has a great flavor, in my opinion.

Don’t rush at it, maybe your taste just needs some time to evolve. Alcoholic drinks tend to have very powerful flavours, beer can have a very acrid taste. If you don’t like it, don’t drink it!

    My favourite? Red wine. Beautiful.

I drank for the effect that it gave me. The feeling of belonging for the first time, of fitting in.
The feeling that now I can ask you to dance and I can dance better than before.
I can do anything now that I have had a drink.
All of it tastes awful to me but if I have a few I can deaden my taste buds and then I can drink all I want.
My biggest problem was the when I took that drink I could not predict what would happen or how much I would consume.
I also didn’t bargain for the DUI, the jail time, the lost job, the divorce; and the lost house and the cars I wrecked while drinking.
So far in the last ten years since I quit; I have not been to jail, had a wreck, gotten divorced, been fired; or completely run out of money.
If you don’t have a reason then why force something you don’t like down your throat?
When is the last time you and a friend split a case of coke in one night or drank a whole 1/2 gallon of kool-aid?
    Today- make mine water.

If you continue with this distasteful liquid you will get used to the smell and finally get addicted to it.That’s the way people get addicted. So stay away from it and preach it to others.

    **actually,
    I don’t drink.
I refuse to drink alcoholic liquids ’cause our family doctor said that you lose a minute of your life once you drink.
I prefer to drink tea instead. It’s healthy, at the same time, relaxing.
