  Sashimi, udon and bentos! Udon has a nice soup base.

  I have many, but my ultimate favorite is Anpan.
  Anpan is a baked bread filled with sweetened red bean paste. It’s not very sweet, so most Westerners arn’t too fond of it, but I suggest trying it.

  Maguro sashimi, ton katsu and japanese curry, miso shiru

  I love Sushi especially those TORO with lot of oils; and that would be prefect if you eat together with the Red-Ginger(GARI).

  I loved all the food I tried. The one thing I couldn’t get enough of was their rice. I don’t know what they do when they cook their rice, but I just could not resist it. I spent 7 months in Japan and was told to stay away from the rice or I would get fat. Well, now I know why the Sumo restlers eat so much of it. It’s great!! I really cannot think of anything I tried there that I didn’t like.

  I am sorry to say, overall, I do not like Japanese food at all. I can’t stand miso, seaweed, sticky rice or raw fish. I know it is supposed to be a very healthy cuisine, but it just doesn’t do much for me.

  For some reason, I like most ethnic cuisines except for Japanese. I have no idea why, since everyone else seems to like it. But I do like chicken or beef teriyaki and anything tempura.
